About our courses.

This training organization is an independent, private college and is licensed to deliver the IMTTA (International Meditation Teacher Trainers Association) training courses.

The IMTTA Training Courses are evidence based and include referencing to scientific research, providing student with a grounded, non-sectarian and extremely professional knowledge base. All course materials are well researched and presented in a very practical, hands-on format, allowing students to explore and experiment with the information provided.

Each lecture includes several practical exercises and a submission form, where students are required to comment on, explain, discuss or answer questions relating to the particular lecture. This provides the course teacher with a good understanding of the students’ ability to understand and assimilate the course materials.

The course materials have been created by Isabelle Cunningham and many of the lectures include audio-visual presentations, PowerPoint presentations and other visual aids, along with eBooks, to provide the widest possible teaching style for the full spectrum of learning styles.

The course is focused on educating professional meditation teachers and holistic counsellors who are able to provide the highest quality service to their own students and clients. It therefor covers a wide range of topics, including an understanding of anatomy and physiology, humanistic psychology and holistic counselling practices as well as teaching skills, managing groups, running a small business, corporate stress management and a wide range of other important topics.

Many postgraduate modules have been written in collaboration with Kerry Doolan, whose experience and precision in collecting the verified, relevant, scientific evidence on which the courses are based, is of the highest standard.

Course teachers are provided with assessment tables for each course lecture to ensure the evaluation process is relevant and every student is provided with the appropriate level of care and support.

These course have now been available for nine years and the general feedback on the course material has been excellent and includes comments about the learning being fun as well as informative, there being a profound opportunity for personal development as well as professional learning and confidence to work in the area of meditation teaching and holistic wellbeing gained through the high quality of the courses content.

Some IMTTA course graduates choose to seek employment with a variety of organizations from holistic healthcare centres to recreation facilities and work as Chair Yoga Instructors, Meditation teachers, Stress Management Consultants and Holistic Counsellors.

The vast majority choose to set up and run their own Holistic Wellbeing Practices and these practices are as diverse as the individuals who run them.

Some choose to open Meditation Schools and run a variety of meditation classes that appeal to a broad cross section of the community. They may incorporate Holistic Counselling sessions and Corporate Stress Management workshops. They may also run specialized classes for particular groups (like prenatal or children’s meditation classes).

Some practitioners have a particular area of interest like working with young people, or women in transition, or people suffering from panic and depression. This training organization offer foundation level and postgraduate level course, allowing students to train in specialized areas. All IMTTA are recognized with the following, well respected accrediting bodies:
